Selling the dream!

Are you selling shakes or are you SELLING THE DREAM? Maybe it is time to try a new approach!

I am so very excited for you. If you are reading this, you believe that you have potential to create the life of your dreams.  2013 is just about complete and with 2014 in view it is an open book, one that you get to create.  How was 2013 for you in Health, in Business, in Relationships, in Finances etc...?  Did you accomplish what you set out to accomplish or did your goals somehow get sidelined?  How do you feel?  Where can you improve to create a better year ahead, or is there something you deserve to re-focus on?  For me life is about learning from mistakes, about getting over my fears (one step at a time) for squashing my doubts and limiting beliefs and for continuing to improve myself along this incredibly rewarding journey called Life!

As an entrepreneur, I know that as I improve my skills, increase my level of belief and as I continue being honest and supportive as a coach, everything improves.  As a leader for my team I also know that it is my responsibility to be transparent (not superficial), to be honest even when it is hard to develop other leaders (not to win friends) and to continue to learn and grow myself.  One thing that I continue to do is fail forward. Learning what doesn't work for me and being open to changing it is a decision I've made as I know doing the same thing over and over but expecting a different result is not going to help us move forward to a place we desire to go.

A few areas that I intent to shift are in my leadership skills and also in my ability to "sell the dream".  Who doesn't want to believe their dreams can become reality?  As Jeffery Combs says in this podcast, many people stop dreaming at 25-30 years of age because they get into the "real world" after school and cannot see a way to earn more in their jobs with the amount of debt they have.  As a business owner in this Evolved Economy I am only just starting to "paint the picture" of another way, a plan B for those who know they can create the life of their dreams but just may not know how yet.

If you are like most of us, you are focused on presenting our amazing products to your friends and family...yes, Isagenix products are a gift to us all...but don't be afraid to "sell the dream"...everyone deserves to live a life of their dreams and it is up to you and I to show them the way.

I know what some of you are saying right now..."but I am not even making enough to pay for my products yet"...I know that, but do you KNOW where you are going?  Do you believe you are on a journey, going through a process to your own freedom day?  Because if you don't speak about where you are going, how can anyone join you?

If you are ready, and I mean READY to take your business to an entirely new place next year...take time to listen to this podcast (the really great content starts about 5 minutes into this call).  You just never know WHO is waiting to hear from you.  I'm afraid to imagine where my life would be if my friend Vicki didn't share this gift with me 4 years ago.  You may just be the person that gives another person the gift of dreaming while they are awake!  http://jefferycombs.podomatic.com/entry/2013-12-18T08_26_12-08_00

True value of your business!

Do you know the TRUE value of your Isagenix Cycles?  Many people feel that $54 isn't much per cycle, especially if you are buying these amazing groceries each month to remain active...however when I look back to January of 2010, when I was receiving $54 every two weeks I knew that it was the stepping stone to $54 per week, per day, $54 per hour or more eventually.

I had 100% belief that I would be successful here.  It started with my LOVE for the products, my love for the products made the $200 investment a simple one.  I did find it challenging at times to pay for my products each month, but nothing would stand in my way from where I knew I was going.

I did deserve to CHANGE my MINDSET!  When we speak in words like, "too expensive, will it ever become successful for me and is $54 worth the effort" I will tell you - these statements will STOP you from moving forward. You will attract people with the same mindset, people who don't starting on a qualifying pack, people who start and stop because they claim it is "too expensive".  I am not trying to be "cheeky" but in all reality, I haven't found a superfood like we  have for the prices we have.  Like Dr. Paul Biondich quotes, "Ferarri products at Ford prices".  If you can find a highly nutritious meal at under $3 like we have here, I love to hear about it!  If you agree that it starts with how we talk, how we think and what we believe, we also know that we have the power to change the "thoughts and excuses" from others.  If you truly want to know the power at your fingertips right now...check out this document to see the true value of your Isagenix cycles and what you would need in the bank to create the residual income you are making - whether you are simply starting out or not! click here:

Remind yourself of how far you've come!

If you are in business for yourself but not by yourself you likely have a feeling of belonging to something larger and having access to support without having a boss tell you what to do, when.

This is one of the many reasons why I know that this is the only business I will ever want to be involved in.

Lately my life has been very hectic. Moving to the house of our dreams has brought many challenges. House repairs; more than any new home owner is prepared for an 8 year old home and with the added stress and frustration, our children have been more sick than usual now that two of our three children are in school full time - (last year we had two not in school yet, and one that was part time.)  We've certainly had our share of hurdles and yet I am reminded of how fortunate I really am.  I'm so grateful that I didn't once need to call a boss, get supply plans into my administration (I was a teacher before this business).

I recently hired PK Smith as my mentor/coach.  He is incredible and has given me a true gift...a reminder of what I've been able to accomplish in 4 years while being a full time mom.  For any mom reading this now, you know how demanding it is to be a mom.  I certainly give a lot of credit to moms that are working full time and coming home to be there for your kids. I can relate to how difficult that is, as before this business gave me the option to "stop" working as a teacher, I was still in the business of trading my valuable time for money and for not being very appreciated in my career.  Working for someone else is great if you love what you do, but in many cases we feel under appreciated and stuck.

Now that I know exactly what needed to be done in order for me to create a 6 figure annual income within 1000 days (less than 3 years), it is something that ANY of you can accomplish also.  Here are some of my top priorities:
  1. Stay consistent (connecting with others, following up, attend events, conference calls, 3 way calls, welcome letters etc)
  2. believe and surround yourself with those who believe in you...don't have them in your life? - find them!
  3. NEVER give up (have that mentality that you will become unstoppable) - yes there will be a lot of negative people trying to make you second guess yourself...don't listen, keep educating yourself and overcome these doubts and fears that others are putting on you
  4. be coachable - if I wanted to do it my own way, I wouldn't be where I am today.  Follow those who have created the success you want, remain open and willing to get out of your comfort zone
  5. Reach down to help people (even if they are not your personally enrolled members) Some people are sponsored by someone that isn't actively doing this as a business, don't let them be alone.  Talk with all the people that are enrolling others and reach down to let them know you are here to help. The other thing is sometimes a person that is personally enrolled by another person has a different personality - they may connect best with you or like your style best...this is a business anyone can succeed in, not everyone will do it the same way - we have a lot of great leaders to support your team...go beyond feeling stuck.
  6. Most of all enjoy the journey and always remember that you need to enjoy your time with those you love the most.  Don't build this business and lose your family in the process.  Date night, family time and personal time is still very important - be sure to make it a regular habit.
  7. Be kind to yourself.  I beat myself up just as much as most others do...thoughts such as, "I have a messy home, my office is unorganized, I didn't get the tasks done today as I planned", and so on...we are often our biggest critic...STOP being so hard on yourself - remind yourself that tomorrow is a new day! During the moments that I feel down or inadequate, I take some time out...a hot bath, read a book, shut down for the night if needed and go to bed early.  I realized this weekend that for the first time in a long time I just sat down and did nothing at all for about 30 minutes while my husband took care of dinner for the kids...when is the last time you did that for yourself without guilt? The first 5 minutes I was not relaxed at all...I kept thinking I can't sit here and let him do it all in the kitchen, and then I sat longer and told myself, YES I CAN!  It felt great.
